Walter O’Neill

Walter O’Neill began creating ceramic sculpture 2018, his sculptures have been exhibited in solo and group exhibits, including his Artist-in Residency solo exhibit at Bailey Contemporary Art Center in Pompano Beach in 2024. He as attend residencies at Skowhegan Art Residency, Watershed Center for Ceramics, and Pentaculum at Arrowmont.  He has received grants in 2023 and 2024 from the Broward County Division of Cultural Affairs.   Walter teaches clay sculpture in the adult school at Northeast Community School in Oakland Park.

Prior to starting working in clay he had been a painter and exhibited in New York, Maryland, Maine, and Washington, D.C. He was the master craftsman of fresco at The Cloisters of the Metropolitan Museum and managed the fresco program at the Skowhegan School of Painting for a decade.
