Robert Hooker

Robert Hooker is a visual ‘assemblage’ artist who spent most of his adult life in the study and practice of theatre. He earned an MFA and taught college for a number of years before founding and operating Sol Theatre Project until 2009. He is now solely a visual artist.

He creates mixed-media assemblages, either framed or as free standing sculpture, using found objects, wood or matte board, photographs, various drawing, painting and sculpting techniques, collage, and bits and pieces of whatever works. It is then sealed in 2-part epoxy.

He lives with his partner Tony and their dog Brando in East Wilton Manors.

His business is The Crooked Hooker
