Daniel T Gramkee

Rochester, New York native Daniel T Gramkee is the son of Barbara and John Gramkee, who encouraged his creativity for the visual arts that dates back further than he has memories. He could draw comic characters at a very early age and by his adolescence, taught himself pencil sketch portraiture.

The imagery in men’s fashion magazines of the late 1970s and 1980s fueled his appreciation for capturing the classic masculinity of the male form. It is these images that often inspire his own fine art photography, celebrating masculinity – often in tandem with or in contrast to the environments in which his subjects are positioned.

In addition to a successful commercial photographer of portraits and performance, he has been fortunate to exhibit his photographs in Pennsylvania, New York, Florida, and beyond.
