Fawn Allen
A native Miamian, Fawn Reiner Allen was born into an artistic family, painting alongside her artist mother in early childhood, and later shooting fine art photography at national parks with her creative father, winning teen photography awards at the Dade County Youth Fair. Fawn studied journalism, graphic design and public relations in college, graduating with a BA in Mass Communications. She then launched a 35-year-career in publications copywriting and design for employers and clients throughout South Florida.
In recent years, Fawn has served as a member and vice-president of the Coral Springs Artist Guild, and a member of the Broward Art Guild. Fawn’s early preference for graphite, and pen & ink stems from a love of the expediency of those media, married with the intrigue of how shadows, midtones, and highlights “develop” to create an image, just like black.& white photography. In the past few years she has worked exclusively in soft pastel and charcoal.
