Retro Revival in Color invites artists to reinterpret the aesthetics of decades past through a contemporary lens. From the groovy ‘70s and neon ‘80s to the playful ‘90s and early 2000s, this exhibition celebrates vintage inspiration reimagined with fresh perspective and bold palettes.

We are looking for dynamic works that blend nostalgia with innovation—art that nods to retro styles while pushing creative boundaries. Whether it’s color-blocking, vintage textures, throwback fashion, or reworked cultural references, this is your chance to revive the past and make it new again.

Bring us your most visually engaging, color-driven work that transports viewers across time while stayingrooted in the now.

We welcome all mediums—painting, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and beyond.

DEADLINE: Friday, May 15, 2026 / 6:00 pm.

SUBMISSIONS: You can submit up to 3 works. VERY IMPORTANT! Label the image(s) of your submitted work(s) First Name, Last Name, Title, Size, Medium & Price. EXAMPLE: Christopher Douldry-DIVINE-24×36-Oil-2800.jpg. Your artwork will not be accepted. If you do not know how to label your images correctly contact us at artsunitedsubmissions@gmail.com.

ENTRY SIZE: Minimum – 11 × 14 , maximum 40 x 60. Submit a brief artist description of each artwork.

LOCATION: ArtsUnited Gallery, 2401 N. Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors, FL 33305.

EXHIBIT DATES: Saturday, June 6 – Saturday, June 27, 2026.

INTAKE: Sunday, May 31, 2026 / 1:00 pm. Bring your chosen art to ArtsUnited Gallery.

Be sure and label on the back of each art piece (VERY IMPORTANT) First Name, Last Name, Title, Size, Medium.

OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, June 6, 2026 / 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Awards ceremony – 8:30 pm.

OUTTAKE: Sunday, June 28, 2026 / 1:30 pm. If you are unable, please arrange someone to pick up artwork(s) on time.

Please note: There is NO storage space at the gallery.

ENTRY FEE: $35—up to 3 artworks. You MUST BE an ArtsUnited member in order to submit your work.

BE PREPARED: If your work has been chosen, you MUST complete the online digital agreement before you arrive to INTAKE. You do NOT have to bring a print of the agreement when you arrive.

DON’T FORGET IMPORTANT!!! Artwork(s) must be clearly labeled on the back with Artist’s Name, Title, Size, Medium & Price (including the 30%). No sawtooth hangers. Artwork MUST BE WIRED and ready to hang! ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!

YOUR ARTWORK MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE LENGTH OF THE SHOW. NO PICKUP before the scheduled time.

COMMISION: ArtsUnited receives 30% of each artwork sale. Make sure to add 30% to your price.

I understand that although every precaution is taken when handling the work, ArtsUnited is not responsible for any damage, loss or theft of work. If artwork is sold during the exhibit, ArtsUnited has up to 30 days after exhibit closing to issue payment to the artists for the sold piece or pieces.
