2025 ArtsUnited’s CANVAS DE CULTURA Hispanic Heritage Visual Art Juried Exhibit

DEADLINE: Friday, August 15, 2025 / 6pm.

SUBMISSIONS: You can submit up to 3 works.

ENTRY SIZE: Minimum – 8 ×10, maximum – 40×60. Submit a brief artist description of each artwork.

THEME: In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, we invite visual artists to submit work for Canvas de Cultura, a juried exhibition honoring the rich traditions, histories, and cultural expressions of Hispanic communities across the globe.

This call is open to artists of Hispanic/Latinx descent as well as artists of all backgrounds whose work is inspired by the people, places, and cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. From bold contemporary statements to folkloric traditions reimagined, we welcome all mediums that reflect the vibrancy and diversity of Hispanic heritage.

Let your art tell the stories, celebrate the rhythms, and paint the colors of culture.

LOCATION: ArtsUnited Gallery, 2401 N. Dixie Highway, Wilton Manors. FL 33305

EXHIBIT DATES: Saturday, September 6 – Saturday, September 27, 2025

INTAKE: Sunday, August 31, 2025 / 1:30 pm. Bring your chosen artwork(s) to ArtsUnited Gallery.

VERY IMPORTANT! Label the image(s) of your submitted work(s) First Name, Last Name, Title, Size, Medium & Price.

EXAMPLE: Luis-Ricardo-Falero-SEDUCTION-36×20-Oil-1795.jpg. Your artwork will not be accepted. If you do not know how to label your images correctly, contact us at artsunitedsubmissions@gmail.com.

OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, September 6, 2025 / 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Awards ceremony – 8:30 pm.

ARTISTS SHOWCASE: Saturday, September 20, 2025 / 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm.

A performing artist will be featured for the evening. Since your artwork will be on the walls or on pedestals, you will be introduced.

OUTTAKE: Sunday, September 28, 2025 / 1:00 pm. If you are unable to pick up art, please arrange someone to get your artwork(s) on time.

Please note: There is NO storage space at the gallery.

BE PREPARED: If your work has been chosen, you MUST complete the online digital agreement before you arrive to INTAKE. You do NOT have to bring a print of the agreement when you arrive.

DON’T FORGET IMPORTANT!!! Artwork(s) must be clearly labeled on the back with Artist’s Name, Title, Size, Medium & Price (including the 30%). No sawtooth hangers. Artwork MUST BE WIRED and ready to hang! ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS!

YOUR ARTWORK MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR THE LENGTH OF THE SHOW. NO PICKUP before the scheduled time.

ArtsUnited receives 30% of each artwork sale. Make sure to add 30% to your price. I understand that although every precaution is taken when handling the work, ArtsUnited is not responsible for any damage, loss or theft of work. If artwork is sold during the exhibit, ArtsUnited has up to 30 days after exhibit closing to issue payment to the artists for the sold piece or pieces.

Since there is no artist entry fee. The juried exhibition winners receive certificates.
