Athanasios (Thanasi) Nitisiopoulos Athanasios (Thanasi) Nitisiopoulos
Nasos is an artist known for transforming furniture into expressive art objects. Born in Kastoria, Greece, he began his creative journey at a young age, experimenting with materials, color, and form through the medium of fur design. His early work gained recognition through exhibitions in Greece and abroad, including notable presentations in Milan.
Expanding beyond fashion and material design, Nasos went on to shape residential and commercial spaces in cities such as Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Paris, Dubai, and Miami. His work reflects a thoughtful balance of composition, texture, and abstract expression, rooted in a deep understanding of materiality.
Currently living and working in Florida, Nasos reimagines vintage wooden chairs as functional sculptures. By combining vibrant color palettes, upholstery, and handcrafted details, he creates contemporary pieces that celebrate transformation, individuality, and joy.

Through whimsical color and playful form, I transform war-torn vintage chairs once destined for destruction into contemporary art. My hope is that each piece brings a smile, reminding viewers that beauty, joy, and renewal can emerge from even the most unexpected histories.
