Lourdes DeWick

I was born in Cuba. I started painting after I got very sick, I paint for healing, to heal my soul, my inner child, I never went to school for art, so when I was asked to enter shows I didn’t think I qualify but to my surprise sometimes I will win prizes/ribbons, and people were praising my art. I give thanks to God that I was able to recover and now I’m painting and exhibiting in different places, such as Gallery 21, the Pride Corner, and others. I mostly paint acrylic on canvas, and also do collages using mostly origami paper, I wanted to make origami but was not able do so, instead I use the origami paper for my collages.
