Katerina Altamirov

Katerina Altamirov is a Russian-born American artist who is based in Miami, Florida. She works in diverse media (painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics). Her abstract works have been exhibited nationally and are held in private collections.

“I view painting as a process in which, with line, texture and color, my experiences and emotions find their expression in new images. I draw inspiration from nature around me and the nature of the medium I’m working with. Transparency and depth of oil; reactive abilities of acrylic; earthiness of textured fabrics; all trigger my imagination and lend me different ways to express myself.”
