Zeldi Eskenazi
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Zeldi Eskenazi. I am a Peruvian of Hebrew descent. I was born and raised in Lima and lived there until I was 32 years old. I then moved to the United States, S. Florida to be exact, and this is where I currently live.
Among my many artistic influences are my rich Jewish heritage along with the colors and vibrancy of Peruvian art. I primarily focus on human emotions. Unpacking the diverse feelings we all feel on a day to day basis. Thematically and stylistically the colors of life’s experiences splash across the page.
My non-traditional approach to painting involves a limitless free flow of initial ideas. I then edit and refine until I have the artwork I desire.
Stylistically I have always leaned towards the surreal. Imagination is the key that has allowed me to create some of my most interesting paintings.
Additionally I have received a degree in advertising and design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale (Interior and Graphic Designer).
All of this has lead me, perhaps not surprisingly, to my current infatuation, combining my surrealistic tendencies with pop art!
I’m exciting about this new phase in my artistic endeavors and i invite to come along with me.
