THEME: LOVEFEST – Hearts & Harmony, Honoring Love and Black Excellence. Your artwork should evoke the spirit of harmony—where hearts, minds, and cultures come together in a celebration of beauty, joy, and connection. Let your imagination soar as you visualize love not only as an emotion but as a transformative force, one that uplifts, heals, and empowers. Create art that honors the diversity and vibrancy of Black culture, showcasing themes of joy, solidarity, and the profound legacies of Black communities. Key Elements to Consider:

Hearts: Symbolize love, compassion, and deep emotional connection. These hearts can be literal or abstract, flowing with energy, warmth, and inclusivity.

Harmony: Reflect balance, unity, and peaceful coexistence—through colors, patterns, or figures coming together in perfect synergy.

Black Excellence: Depict the richness of Black culture, history, and identity, celebrating achievements, wisdom, resilience, and beauty. Consider iconic symbols, figures, or moments in Black history that resonate with themes of love and unity.
Joy and Celebration: Convey a sense of joy, vibrancy, and togetherness—using bold, lively colors and dynamic forms to capture the energy of love in motion.

Recent works by ArtsUnited members. Open to painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor & alcohol inks), photography, 3D/sculpture, mixed media, ink drawing, and graphic arts. All entries will be juried, and only those selected by the juror will be permitted into the exhibition. All artworks must have NOT been in a previous ArtsUnited juried exhibition.

OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, February 1, 2025 / 7-10PM. Awards ceremony – 9PM. ARTISTS SHOWCASE: Saturday, February 15, 2025 / 7-10PM. A performing artist will be featured for the evening. Since your artwork will be on the walls or on pedestals, you will be introduced.

OUTTAKE: Sunday, February 23, 2025 / 1:00PM. If you are unable to pick up art, please arrange someone to get your artwork(s) on time. Please note: There is NO storage space at the gallery.
